A little smoke for the Mrs please

The wife love of my life is goin' in for back surgery today at 10:30 am, I'm just finishing gettin' the truck loaded and my bag packed. She's havin' a fusion os S1 to L5 in hopes it'll relieve some of her ongoin' pain and allow her to get out and about like she used to do. A lot of anguish and anxiety have gone under the bridge but there's lots 0f angst ahead while she recovers.

If you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers, send a litter smoke up for her around 10:30 am while she goes in for surgery and for a successful surgery with a quick recovery.

Thoughts and prayers my friend . My wife had the l5 fusion and I've got to have it myself so I've been in your situation .

They took my wife back at 530 am at 730 they came and told me they were putting her under . About 1030 11 IIRC doc came out and told me all had went as planned .

I was scared to death and so was she leading up to the surgery doc assured us it was going to be fine and was nothing to really worry about .

Her doc did nm everything he could to ease our minds . Afterward my wife has hurting from the surgery but nothing like before and she's glad she had it done .

If yours in anything like mine she will try to be back up and going as soon as she can but she has to take it easy ,if they don't heal right they surgery was for nothing .

If you need anything don't hesitate to give me a shout. We still have her old brace they gave her that shoots electricity to the spot to help it out and it did my wife wonders if she gets prescribed that be sure to get it ASAP , if insurance is an issue friend give me your address and I'll get it in the mail for you its only 2 years old and only used a couple months .

Also this happens with my wife and the docs assistant said it's very common but after surgery the pain pump wasn't helping my wife. They tried about 4 different pain meds on her and nothing helped. Finally they gave her toradol shots . It's just an anti inflammatory but it knocked my wife's pain out and was the only thing to do it . When she came home she had pain meds and toradol. The toradol shots helped the most but even in pill form it did more for her than the narcotic pain meds.

Consider it done....my thoughts and prayers are with both of you for a speedy recovery.
 
Doctor just called, she's still in recovery but the surgery went really well, he said the nerve was pinched really bad and she should see significant relief as far as the sciatic pain in her legs which right now s the worst. She has some severe arthritis in her spine that may be too sever to try to fix but today's surgery was successful and we'll take all victories great or small.

It's always good when the doctor comes out smiling. It's even better when the patient looks surprised! It's better!

We're all praying for a quick and compete healing. :)

Your Wife and You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope that both of You take some time to relax during the healing
process and make plans to do something enjoyable after the recovery.
 
Thank you everyone for everything, she's in good spirits , feelin' better and just waitin' for the doc and physical therapy to allow he to get up and move about. They've already taken her off the IV, she still has the shunts in and ha 1 more antibiotic treatment and is scheduled to be released tomorrow.

Prayers, smoke, smudge, good vibes and happy thoughts work and you'll all be in my prayers and thoughts, bless you all and your friends and families, thank you the power of positive prayers can help.
