Albers Cutlery Company

Missed it again. Would be nice to get a heads-up but I understand the law of supply and demand.

You can sign up for his email distribution list on his website.
Didn't do me any good. I saw it less than an hour after receiving it and it was too late :(
The elusive blue rope bone continues to....um, elude me :p

First come first served still comes into play, but at least you are made aware at the same time everyone else is, so you get an equal shot at getting one.

Hi Mike, yes I know about the Newsletter but every time I've tried to subscribe I get an error message. I PM'd Eric to see if he can get me subscribed on his end. Maybe my wife somehow got wind of my wanting an Alber's knife and turned my computer against me?
Sent you a message Bill to get your email. I will sign you up or troubleshoot the issue for Eric.

I saw the e-mail announcing this run of knives 6 minutes after it hit my inbox and all of the knives we sold out except the blue bone cover. That sold out at approximately 7 minutes after the e-mail reached my inbox. Demand for his knives is extremely high and first come first served is certainly a fair way to do this.

I think I am going to give up on trying to buy one of his knives. I may try again in a year or more likely 2 years from now. By then with some luck the demand will be reduced.

That is how i am looking at it. The old FOMO syndrome is in play here, and when that sets in, as with another well known knife brand, it just loses it's fun and appeal and can even become stressful if you let it. That doesn't sound like that is for you and i. Realistically, i have more knives that i can logically justify, i just like knives, but how many do i need. But i like your thinking, and it is also fantastic that Eric is doing so well, so when things settle down there will be enough to go around for everyone, and that includes you and i. " With Some Luck ".. But i have been known to be wrong before..;).

Yeah, I thought this too....then thought that I'd prefer Eric keep selling everything he builds. I've got lots of knives. If I get one of his, great. If I don't, that's ok too. I just like having a small knife maker around who reasonably prices his knives.
Very well said my friend, things will settle down i time, and i have no doubt Eric will be successful and around for as long as he wants to be, good quality always has a market.

I absolutely agree and I hope Eric is very successful! I am just not going to go crazy trying to buy one. I feel the same about GEC knives. Very nice knives but I am not going to go crazy trying to find one or pay a big premium.
I have enough knives to last me a lifetime and this is suppose to be a fun hobby. When it stops being fun then it is time to move on.

I just want to be clear that I think it is fantastic that Eric is selling every knife that he makes!
