Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I like the art, but the beer sounds awful. I'm not partial to any of these flavored beers. When I drink beer, I mostly drink Miller Lite because I like the way it tastes, so I'm hardly a beer connoisseur :p
I do like Leinenkugel Canoe Paddle Kolsch a lot, but its never available around here.
Mike, you must be one of those guys that yells, "Tastes great!" when drinking Miller Lite, instead of one of those "Less filling!" guys. 🤓
I think around here, the Leinie Canoe Paddler is seasonal (spring/summer); tough to beat it on a really HOT day!:cool::thumbsup:
(I'm just an old curmudgeon, I suppose, who doesn't appreciate all these new flavors with fruits and hazes and so on. I really don't even like IPAs; "hold the hops and max the malt" is my motto!)

Gary, I know that verse well, it could almost be my motto! And you're right, it's darn hard to beat a good oatmeal stout (Saml. Smith). Before you said anything else, I thought the raspberry vanilla sounded too busy.
I know what you mean about that verse as a motto, Jeff.
I don't know why I keep trying new beers I see. There are plenty of beers that I know I enjoy very much, they're usually available, and they fit my budget. Really don't need to explore any more.

Here's a beer I first tried last June. I think it's VERY good, although its availability seems quite sporadic. I think the 6-pack I bought most recently is only the 4th Horny Monk 6-pack I've purchased in 8 months.

In this post I want to point out a strange characteristic of every one of the Horny Monk cans I've opened so far (that's currently 21 cans, I think). Every time I pull the tab to open a can, some beer spurts out, and the volume of the beer seems to be just slightly larger than the volume of the can, indicated by a little "dome" of liquid sticking up out of the opening created by pulling the tab. It's like each can is over-filled slightly and sealed under pressure. Not a complaint, just a consistent oddity I've noticed (as an amateur scientist  🤓).

Volume ,Temperature and Pressure (being the constant) are described by
Charles' Law.....or if you throw your unopened beer can into a fire....
Boyles Law...in other words the can will eventually pop....or to put it simply..EXPLODE..😆 how do I know this? I went away onve and my home btew bottles in crates under my bed all popped their top ...expand vapour...constant pressure...and there were tiny shards of glass embedded everywhere...

Although my last post in this thread was a reminder that it's Bock season, I found an Oktoberfest survivor in the back of the laundry room fridge Thursday night and enjoyed it immensely, even out of season! I still have an unopened 12-pack of cans of Founders Oktoberfest that I'll have to start working on as I wait for actual spring weather to arrive.
