Boker "Tree Brand Classic" & Solingen made traditional knives

I love Sollingen Boekers, just gorgeous!

Funny, I lived in Germany and Austria for a number of years, got a sense of the culture, love them dearly. I still think in German most of the time.

I have to admit, though, that the Germans have a really odd, unelegant sense of style.

They are NOT like the French in this regard, who manage to make most thiings beautiful.

So, when the Germans make something graceful and beautiful like these Barlows, it makes my heart sing. :)

I was on a flashlight forum today where someone from the UK was looking for a non-locking 3” or less knife. Provided these as recommendations (but ignore the knife on the far right). I don’t say this lightly, but those Boker Barlows have some of the best action on a traditional that I’ve seen.

Boker has always made a pretty good knife. They also did contract work; a lot of John Primbles are Boker USA knives.

I recently rediscovered both Boker and their little half Congress knives

Boker 5252 and United Boker UC126 Half Congresses (same knife just different markings) in three different Bone scales.

And a Boker made John Primble from the 1950's
