Buck Collectors Club Inc.

Hi! I am a new 2010 member #1992, joined last week and got the BCCI package Today.
- Mark

Wow, 25 have joined since I did! I'd advise you to consider that 111 from 2007 if any are still available. They are exquisite.

Welcome, from a recent new member myself.

Just a reminder, the registration for the SMKW meeting is due May 1st, without a penalty and I hate paying more. So, if your are thinking of going to the meeting in August, you might want to think about sending in the form.

Has anyone got a room yet at the hotel? I was unsure if the $109 room came with a little kitchen. It kind do fo sounded like it did. Anyway, I will be there in early August.

Is there an "electronic" BCCI application and a way to pay with PayPal or credit card? I would like to join as a "business expense" as well over half of my custom work is with Buck knives.

Thats sort of what I was hoping for too, except I am not interested in the business expense part of it. I would just like to use paypal and do it online for the conveinience of it! DM sent me the form quite some time ago, and I can't ever get focused on filling it out and mailing it when I have the spare cash and the oportunity! Great suggestion Redrum!

Well, now it is getting down to getting a room. In the March news letter they said get the room before June 1st to ensure availability. I just got a room, $109 for a single queen bed and I asked how much it would be for a room with two queen beds and they said the same rate, if you only have 2 people. I am taking my 19 year old Son, so the thought of sleeping together for both of us in one bed was not appealing. So, keep in mind a single queen room or a double queen room is the same rate. They seemed very nice on the phone and it looks like a great place to stay.

Oh, I can answer my own question in my first post, all rooms come with a kitchen. I am looking forward to going to the Smoky Mountain Rendezvous this August 3rd, see you there.

Hey Guys,
I just got my packet today. I'm BCCI member #2106. I had a question for anyone who might know. This year I decided to only do an annual membership just because I joined in the middle of a big spending spree and I needed to do some more spending on top of that, but my question is: Next year when I do the lifetime will I keep my same number? I'm primarily interested in keeping the number because I'm thinking about getting the Desert Ironwood 110 and my number would be engraved in it.

Glad to have you aboard!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Gordon...Thanks! I emailed John Foresman again today because I was going to order the Heritage 110 and I came across the Desert Ironwood 110. He said I could still order both, but the Desert Ironwood was really low in quantity so I needed to move quick. Now I just need to decide if I should get the Ironwood...it's a little pricey for the moment. Anyone order one?

If you are referring to the 2010 Club Knife 110 with desert ironwood, buffalo horn, drop point blade, etc. The answer is
YES

You can spread the payments over the weeks ahead, as long as you pay in full by November 1st. After November 1st, you will forget you ever paid for it and suddenly in the mail there appears this killer knife ... best Christmas gift one can give to oneself, well, maybe a Ferrari... :D

Just a heads up, the December News letter is now on-line. It is now Dec. 31st, so I guess they made December. Also, the January Youth news letter is also on-line. I went to the BCCI site to see if the 2011 Catalog was up and it was not.

The news letter talked a lot about the meeting in the Smoky Mountians. I saw no new knives for sale.

Just received my membership package in the mail! I do have a question though, there are directions to log onto Buck and fill out the pro application so I can set up an account and get the Club discount. When I try to do this it states that I already have an account with that email, which I do because I have ordered from them before. Any idea how I get this applied to my a current account? Thanks for any help. Trevor~

Trevor,

I may have not done it the right way, but because my email carrier allows me multible addresses, I just made another email account just for Buck Pro. It works fine.......I have one email for normal Buck and one for Pro Buck.....300

Mine did it automatically when I ordered . I must have given it a number sometime . I think I used my code that was sent in my packet . Glad you joined Trev . DM

Thanks guys, I just registered my BCCI membership with Buck under my other email account, glad I kept it around!

Question.

Are membership #'s the same for annual members as they are life members? I'm going to be renewing this year as a life member and was just wondering if I would keep my # or would be issued a new one? TIA

For me, when I up-graded to lifetime membership, it was the same number. #1644

I sent my form and check in today...have a question though: Do club members get additional discounts on the Web specials? I'm really liking the Red handled Vantage on Web special but if members get a discount I could wait a bit.
Thanks,
Russ

Congrats on joining. To answer your question, no the discount doesn't apply to web specials for custom knives.
