Buck Collectors Club Inc.

Here is the letter that Larry Oden sends out to BCCI members. Great discounts on Buck Knives, if you haven't already, it's time to sign up...

October 5, 2001
Dear Knife enthusiast,

I am now an authorized dealer for Buck Knives. It is my goal to assist you in obtaining current production Buck knives at a reasonable cost. Also, you will not begouged by those ridiculous "shipping and handling" charges which many of the mail order outfits use to boost their gross profit margin.

I am an active member of the Buck Collectors Club and you will notice that my pricing structure is designed to give you an incentive to join our club. Not only will you get the best pricing, but members of the BCC also get many great benefits including a quarterly newsletter and the annual Buck catalog. These items will keep you informed of, among other things, new products, special production runs and limited edition knives. If you are not a member, please ask me how to join. Annual memberships are $20.00 and life memberships are $100.00.

Following is my pricing:

For BCC life members - wholesale cost plus 10 %

For BCC annual members - wholesale cost plus 15%

For non-members of the BCC - wholesale cost plus 20%

Wholesale cost is 50% of suggested retail. Club members receive a price list each year with their catalog so the suggested retail is always known. By the way, actual freight charges from El Cajon to Peru, Indiana will be passed along and you will pay only the actual shipping costs from Peru to your address. Again, there will never be any "handling" charges, only actual freight. If multiple orders are received, I will pro-rate the freight from Buck Knives to Peru among all the orders received.

My card is enclosed. I look forward to hearing from you.

Your friend,

Larry Oden

Canadian members are welcome! We actually have several members from Canada. Yearly dues are $30 US, to cover the extra postage. Lifetime membership is $150 US. Hope you'll consider joining!

Buck life member #1912.............would have been reaaaly cool to be #1911 (That's the type of pistol I carry), but I am just happy to be part of the club.

Take care, Mike Arnold

Has anyone received their knife yet? It says delivery expected in June and June is nearly gone. The last one arrived very early in the month that it was expected to be shipped. Just wondering.

JB,

We still do have quite a few left over. The poor economic conditions have slowed sales down considerably. I was in error though when I posted that the 500's were shipped. 71 of them were mailed on Wednesday, however we only received 71 in the first shipement from Buck. We expect the others shortly.

Plumber,
Your 500 is in the next shipment. Sorry!

John

I'll wait patiently.;)
What else does the club still have left over from prior issues? I might want to pick up some of them.

Dave,

The only special project knives that we still have left are the latest 532's. They were first offered in the December newsletter.

John

Thanks John,

I thought there might be more of the Elk 111's left. I like mine so well I was thinking of ordering another one. Glad I checked first.

Any news about the next shipment? I'm getting a little concerned, they were to be released in June and it's the middle of July now. Is there a problem with them?

Plumberdv, Something I have learned as a member of the BCCI is that the club knives typically take a bit longer to ship than what is originally projected. Sometimes...a grueling wait.

Plumberdv,

We just recieved the second batch of 500s. They were shipped to members this week. You should receive your's any time now. 2TonyB is right, we often experience delays in receiving the knives from Buck. Thanks for your patience!!

Thanks John,
I should have checked the mailbox before I posted. Mine just showed up and I love it so much I want another one. I want to have one to carry and one to keep.
