Went for a awesome hike with the family today just down a few minutes from our place at a historic hydraulic gold mining area. Walked through the old water drainage tunnel.

Inside the tunnel there were colorful iron rich formations growing on the rock walls.

Love the mid western woods and landscape. So much more open than compared to how dense the woods can be around here.
 
Light chopping with SHBM and NMFBMLE for fire wood, wroked the rest of the tree over pretty good and split logs, etc, and a random big ass squirrel my buddy shot on his mother-in-laws property (it was her favorite squireel). Big ass red sucker, size of a decent sized rabbit...it was in my freezer so long i forgot about it (6 months) until he remembered to ask if I still had it...I said, I don;t remember throwing it away...there it was under all the chicken breasts...

SHBM is my favorite knife, ever.
