Fried in bacon grease, yep.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it.Great pics, love the gear and the food. Thanks for letting us visit your cabin this way.
Thanks man, you know I'm a photo taking fool, haha. The stoves are fun. A lot more work than the propane stove, but worth the joy of using an antique like that.Yeah, totally righteous pix, Dubz! Love what you've done with those vintage stoves.
Yup, that shiny ricasso shot is sweet.
Johnny, that's a 6" from-scratch Au Kephart (AuK6) in 0.165" thick 1084. I was very curious how the longer blade and extended ricasso would work with man-sized mitts like Dubz's.
Thanks Don, appreciate it.I love the cabin pics. Looks like a great place to unwind.
Thanks man. Daizee's blade rocked. Wish I could have used it more. That would be cool. There's actually a stove thread that @Guyon started many moons ago.Very nice looking place yall got there.
Daizees blade sure looks nice, glad you got to show us how it can take a beating too!
Those stoves sure are purty. I think a stove and becker knife thread would be a good place for some pictures of those. The tea kettle looks classy too. My camp tea kettle is pretty raw next to that.
All in all looked like a nice relaxing trip. Thanks for sharing such good pictures!
It was nice to get away, despite the heat.Sorry it was so hot, but it's nice to go to the cabin.
Thanks for taking us.
Thanks man. We really like the place, but don't like the politics with the people that live close to our cabin. It's all private property behind the gate, including my place, but people that live before the gate say their deeds say they have the right to go down to the river there. It was formally owned by a woman that decided to divide it up into lots, for other to purchase and enjoy, and they all had access to the river, they deemed the "common ground". Then, the woman died, taxes were not paid, etc, so that went by the wayside. Their deeds, according to one of the property owners before the gate, said they have no legal claim to it anymore, as that expired some time ago. I really have no problem at all with people going down there, as they have never bothered anything of mine, but I get sick of it. I really wanted something more private to begin with, but, it's what I could afford.Warrior, we love your cabin posts. I don't have a cabin per se. Actually, I don't have anything remotely like a cabin so I have to live vicariously through you and yours. I for one would fully encourage you to sell the small cabin and get a bigger one. Hell, make it closer to your house while your at it.
Awesome gt! There's nothing like it. Bk9, for sure. A wood processing beast.
