Camillus and Schrade of Old Given Short Shrift Now-A-Days

Do "Ulster", " Imperial", "Hammer Brand", and the myriad of other brands owned by Imperial-Schrade count?
For the Imperial brand, is it only "Prov RI" or do the "Ireland" knives count, too?

For this thread it's meant to be Camillus "Branded" and Schrade "Branded" only. Thanks.

Agreed. I took this shot years ago, when I first acquired a navy knife. The knife up top is a GEC #15 Boy's Knife from 2105. The knife below is a pre-WW2 Camillus; probably early 1930's. The frames and styles are remarkably similar.

That's because in form there really is little that is truly new in the way of traditional slipjoints. Hence us labeling them "traditional".

This is good I can’t believe this thread grew this fast. Here’s my one lonely 34ot:( . At least the good thing is that I will probably be trading or selling some knives within the next couple of weeks so I will try to pick up more Schrades.

I had hoped to keep this thread on topic discussing Camillus branded and Schrade branded knives. Looks like that isn't happening.

Here's a couple of shots from a "Camillus Knife Museum" that a Village of Camillus entrepreneur set up in his shop. I stopped by for the first time today.

I asked him what were the oldest knives in the collection? He pointed to the Sherwood Cutlery ebony easy open and the other ebony to it's right. Made around 1890. Sherwood Cutlery was purchased by Kastor Brothers and subsequently became Camillus Cutlery.

Here's a few other random shots.

I told the owner he's likely to be seeing a lot of me!

Thanks for the pictures. I plan on stopping in there tomorrow or Friday, depending on how my days go.

Respectfully, it seems that every post that I've read here has to do with either Camillus or Schrade. I'm not sure where this thread is failing to meet your expectations of staying on point.

Several of us, myself included (sorry ED) have shown Camillus made, but other branded knives, such as Remington, Craftsman, etc.

OK. No pictures :( but I have one that qualifies then :)
2 bladed Jack Knife, 3 5/8 closed, Ebony(?) covers, single NS bolster. It looks like it had a bail at one time, but it is long gone.
"Schrade
Cut Co
Walden NY"

Not a problem Jeff. I'm talking about people trying to bring GEC into it i.e. comparing Camillus to GEC etc..
