Carothers and Guns

Just installed my comp and modified the holster. Can't wait to get out to the range for some trigger time
This is likely a brilliant set up from my experience. My 43x + Volker comp makes me think these slim 9mm are missing 4 ounces of slide mass and are de facto tuned to a comp in a way that I prefer over say an under sprung G17! Have fun with the new set up!

I'm headed to the cabin next weekend and among other things there'll be some enjoyment of firearms. Recently mounted a new, higher magnification scope on one of my .22s with the hope of trying it at 2-300+ yards. Was plugging some numbers into a ballistics calculator. If I'm zeroed at 50 yards and want to attempt a 400 yard shot I'll either have to dial to compensate or aim 24¼' high.

🤣

That sounds like my 300blackout. I love it for 100 yards and in but after that you really have to lob them in there.

Very nice! A great pair of M1As. I’m a big fan of the M1 and M1A.

Finally found a plate rack for real cheap. Now I just gotta find time to go shooting!View attachment 2577399
Awesome! Built this one over a year ago and still have not set it up at the range. Some leftover AR500 for the plates and random scrap for the rest. Planning to set it up this weekend for Memorial Day!

Ha! How long have you had yours? Any complaints?

Think the Form 4s of both the HB and Thunder Chicken in 2021, and no real complaints. Ended up installing a Q trigger in it which is slick but be nice if the reset was quicker. The buttstock on the HB isn’t the most comfortable of things so used a NV height mount this time around to get a little clearance

But it’s awesome having a suppressed PDW rifle with optics and BUIS that weighs 5.5lbs

I bought another can since everyone was raving about how they were getting approved in 1-5 days instead of a year. As my luck would normally have it mine took 10 weeks🤷‍♂️
The Omega 9K came out several years ago and is kinda outdated compared to all of the 3D printed cans overwhelming the market currently, but for the size still sounds good, is light considering the materials used, is extremely durable, does well with signature reduction, and accepts a 3-lug mount along with standard mounts. Perfect for my needs since it’ll usually live on the APC9.
Here’s a few pics on the APC along with the 19x, and the VP9. Probably won’t spend much time on the pistols but I wanted to see how they looked.
