Cast Iron Beckerheads, Sound Off!

I went on a binge for about 6 months last winter : D

If you check out local antique stores and goodwills you can find good deals on stuff that needs to be restored. If you don't mind putting in work. Got some stuff off eBay too. The nice thing about cast iron, it will last forever if properly cared for

Yeah, ive picked up a few pieces from 2nd hand stores also. After a good scouring and seasoning they've always been good to go.
Only seen a few cracked pieces from time to time.
Nice collection man! I've been getting back into using mine again after a 5 year hiatus, so I spent a weekend getting everything cleaned and seasoned. Its great fun using them and the kids get a big kick out of it!

I will play!

And your kids will get a kick out of inheriting them as well :D

Cast iron is how we roll. At home, at camp...it's almost entirely cast iron. One of these days, I'll pick up a dutch oven, but for now what we have are skillets and a griddle. The griddle is the 2-burner Lodge. We also have an 8, 9, and 10.25" Lodge skillet for home and some 12" one's for camping.

What brand kettle is that?

Dude has the waffle iron.... screw dinner, we're going over for breakfast!

I was at Brimfield last week (two weekends ago?) and there was a cast iron TENT. But the prices were sky-high. I nearly bought another #8, but it was right at the beginning of the show. I should have done it anyway.

How about breakfast with chicken fried steak, biscuits, waffles, French toast, and bacon? Lol. I'm making myself hungry with all this talk!

Can't forget the fried chicken in CI:

Let me mix in some CI use on the grill: griswold small logo #5 for the shrooms and my Weber CI sear grate. Awesome grill marks!

That was taters, onions, peppers and sausage. It got eggs and cheese added later.

I use my cast iron firepit to grill rebar....
no pics here, but check the spring gathering thread. :D

Mmmmm I gotta cook that for breakfast! I bet that would be a killer filling for some breakfast burritos too(and by itself as well)

gotta get mea #5...

we've got a little cornbread pan, but I won't touch the thing. The inside surfaces are unfinished (how could they anyway), and there isn't enough room to clean. Anything that's more work to clean than to use ends up at the back of the line.
