Is it okay if I speak up about all the posts in PA that advocated for ALL conservatives, even women and children, to be drawn and quartered, or burned at the stake?

Just because those posts have been deleted and the links to those YouTube videos blocked - that doesn't mean I shouldn't speak out about it - right? I'm glad, because it makes it very convenient for ME if I don't have to be able to prove it, or if the mods did their job and removed it all.

Do you mind if I ask, just out of curiosity: who or what is QM? thanks.

I strongly agree that if someone is taking the position that blacks - or whites, or Native Americans, or people of Asian descent, or LGBTQ or anybody should be treated differently by police (or anyone, really, right?) then that is a problem! I think the ultimate goal should be that we all see each other as HUMAN BEINGS, first and foremost. The color of one's skin should be as irrelevant as the color of one's eyes, or their blood type (except in medical emergencies, of course).

I'm a liberal that lives in California. People post in the PA saying they want to kill people like me. Maybe they aren't driven by hate but whatever it is, it's close enough to hate to not matter.

It doesn’t appear that the mods removed the videos. The link is there, but it doesn’t link to anything anymore.

Anyway, I would hope that calls for violence against anyone would be dealt with appropriately.

The people who know what I’m talking about know what QM is. Doesn’t need to be public.

You are wrong. "Hatred " is light for what I was called and accused of in PA. Your denial now doesn't change that.

Then it's good that won't be allowed anymore.

A wise man once told me “bring light, not heat”. Bring light and you’ll get light. Bring heat and people seem to bring heat back.

On the forum or not, hate is hate and calling for the lynching people because you don’t agree with their views is disgusting. Right, left, or in the middle, this is the United States of America and we’re supposed to be better than that.

This is not the thread for arguing about what has or has not happened in the PA, this is the thread for constructive criticism and suggestion for how to improve the PA. All the crap you guys are talking about should not be happening in the PA now so arguing about it now is wasting time and cluttering up this thread.

Be constructive or don't post in this thread please.

If you can show where anyone called for lynching people, or any of these other dramatic accusations, please do so. I will be the first to condemn it. But if I had seen that in PA or anywhere, I would have condemned it then, as well as now.

To falsely accuse people of calling for people who disagree with them to be lynched, because you don't agree with their views, might be considered disgusting!

Maybe I was wrong? I haven't been to PA much lately and I have not read all of the posts, and haven't even read anything in many of the threads.
I've had many people threaten my life over the 13 or so years that I have surfed the web and been on forums. Not one has shown up to try it. Serious people don't talk about it.
It's good that it won't be allowed anymore.

I apologize also.

If you would PM it to me, I promise not to make it public or release the member username. If not, would you please report it directly to Spark, or a mod, and make sure they can see it?

I want BF to be an upright and respectful place, which I have considered it to be all along. If the accusations are true, then they should be addressed. If not, the accusers should explain why they make the accusations.

Do you think putting a stop to what has been happening in the PA is enough? Or would it be a good idea for the extreme content to be deleted?

The same stuff that is getting other places in trouble is still up in the PA. I'm worried people who would love to shut BFC down will not make a distinction between what Spark as enacted today, and what people have been saying the past week about what happened at the capital.

It already has been and the mods have addressed it today. As far as I know, the post is still up though.

Maybe some of you guys should start a Respectful Airing Of Past Grievances thread in the PA. Hash all this out there and make a new start.

Thank you, Spark, for adjusting what appears on the New Posts page.

Actually, I am beginning to see your point!

I agree that we should shut down PA. In fact, I think we should shut down Bladeforums.com! and every other forum! and every social media outlet! And CNN and Newsmax, because people on opposing sides see them as biased and dishonest!

Somebody is offended, and somebody may post a slur, threat or insult. It should not be that way!

Shut'er down! Shut them ALL down!

Then we'll have peace and quiet, and the country will reunite. Problem solved.

Don’t take the bait, brother.
Let’s move this to PA. If he doesn’t follow, he was never interested in discussion.

I did not say to shut down the PA. I asked a Super moderator if it was a good idea to still have extremist violent posts up in the PA. Then you answered with whatever that is...

It’s been less than 24 hours, plans are still in process; patience.

I apologize, I hope I didn't offend you.

I believe both Spark and a super mod have said to keep it constructive. This presumably satirical comment is not.

I believe that 90+% of the problems in the PA could be eliminated if the mods there announced that henceforth they will ruthlessly and unbiasedly enforce a zero tolerance policy against discussing other people, instead of discussing issues. Saying that only a scruffy, brain-dead, nerf herder could believe or support x, y, or z is not a discussion of the issue: it is an ad hominem against those who disagree with you about x, y or z. No one should have to decide whether a remark about another poster is an unacceptable personal attack or something less. Just leave out ALL comments whatsoever about other posters or the nature of people who hold contrary views to your own, and confine posts to arguments about the issues themeselves. This would leave out words like lefty/leftist, commie, fascist, socialist, gun-grabber, and a number of even more perjorative terms by which some posters refer to other posters in the PA on the regular.

I apologized to Craytab, and now I apologize to you, the mods, and everyone here. I will do my best to be civil and stay within the rules. If I don't live up to that, I hope that Spark or another mod will show me the door, but I will sincerely try to be respectful to everyone and work within the rules.

I apologize, I hope I didn't offend you.
Ha! No offense taken my guy. Rather the opposite. I feel a little embarrassed for you. This is tech support and we are discussing a serious topic. I am asking a serious question to the people in charge. I even got an answer that I am very appreciate of hearing. No need for hyperbolic posts like yours in a serious discussion. You were given good advice to take it to the PA.
