I was back to work today too, though I'm very much part-time here in my dotage. I haven't been able to put my 710-1401 down since I installed my gorgeous Keyman Ironwood scales. Aside from carrying it constantly--part-time worker, but full-time knife guy--I've been tweaking the action and centering and spent a fair amount of time with it on the EdgePro yesterday, working the toothy BM factory edge into an 18 DPS mirror polish. Baby cuts like a lazah now and I came too close to slicing my finger open admiring it this afternoon.

Probably because it is a good neutral handle designed g10 no nonsense knife? The same reason I love my cqc7s there is just something very pleasing about those simple designed knives.

And yeah, that's a big part of it. Your example is on point, too -- it even feels like an Emerson in some ways. I've just been moving away from black G10/plain blade knives, and I'm surprised at how much I like this one.
