It's one of my favourites. I don't mind the easy sharpen serrations either. I haven't used this one much. Your right it's slices things nice.

I finally found one and bought it, and as a bonus it's in excellent condition.
I know ESEE is a budget knife, but finding older examples is a challenge for me here in Australia and I like to collect skull logo models and I grab them when I can.

Out in the woods today with time for tea.
Brought the Esee 5 and the Firebox Nano, Trangia kettle and a Swedish Fold-a-cup for a nice hot cup of fresh gingerroot tea.
I find a couple of this slice give more taste than one thick chunck.
The filled the stove with small stick and curls of firewood. Made a featherstick to light with my ferrorod and the transfer the flame to the stove.
Then wait for my water to boil
And tea is ready
