Esee 5 made small sticks and curls to fill my Firebox Nano

First make some coffee

Unpack my food stuff for lunch while waiting for my water to voil

Prepared so dough at home for a bannock

Coffee is ready

Next up, baking my bannock

Looking tasty already

Overview of my mini camp

The cut and fry some choriso sausages

Oh, the smell

Beans in tomato-sauce

And to make it complete, an egg, eggs go well with just about everything

That's all, time to eat now

They don't, they laser etch it.
On my knives I etched the original laser etching a little deeper with chemicals or electricity.
(don't remember what blad I used which method)

My son and I went out on our first real hunt together this morning. We got a small tasty goat and a skin to make a cushion with.

That's wonderful...... Saw shorts on the kid and was.like WTF?......But then Southern hemisphere clicked in. Not the quickest blade I am but still somewhat sharp

We just went through a heatwave with temperatures sitting 80-85°f at night and up to 110°f in the days. This morning we were freezing at 55°f, after a southerly cold change. So we both had sloppy joes on to keep warm. It was a perfect morning to hunt without having to keep an eye open for snakes. My sons only disappointment was I didn't bring a Junglas to chop branches with .

55°, sounds like people here in SoCal, when it hits 60°. My place in the high desert is 37° now.

My conductor was complaining about the cold in Long Beach yesterday. I told him "this is like summertime in Alaska sissy!"
