An etch that possibly was there Originally? But although a Very fine Knife and etch, the etch has been applied at a later date of Manufacture....
beautiful Knife Though, a little more work and possibly finding a High end Magnifier to take Photos before I remove the etch...

That is the Keen Kutter Logo as the Shield!

Ha...right there in front of my eyes! I don’t have any KK knives, but i’ve seen their advertising logo dozens of times and it never registered that take away the wording and this is the shape of the shield in question.
