This slicey little feller made breakfast this morning. Okonomiyaki, a recently discovered and new favorite dish!

I shall have to investigate! :) :thumbsup:

Early evening here, and I've just had spaghetti, with garlic, asparagus, piccolino tomatoes, and tomato pesto :) :thumbsup:

That looks very tasty! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
After looking it up online, I love the idea: a pancake containing whatever I want! 🤓

Another visually appealing dish! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Although I'm a fan of tomato products (sauces, stewed or diced tomatoes in soups, stews, casseroles), I'm not very fond of fresh raw tomatoes of any size. I'd probably replace the tomatoes with more asparagus and with a selection of other vegetables if I were to try to "recreate" your meal, Jack.

Cant beat a good poutine ☮️

I've only had poutine once, a couple of months ago, but I'd certainly agree with your claim! :thumbsup:🤓:thumbsup:
Looking forward to my next opportunity to order poutine.

Here's what I call a "casserole", some variation of which I have for supper probably 5 nights per week. This version happens to have potato (which could be replaced by rice or pasta or maybe even sauerkraut in other variations) and diced summer sausage (which is usually replaced by ground turkey, but could also be traded for baked chicken or cheese or even baked beans).
(My wife strongly objects to my calling it a casserole, even though I make it in a "casserole dish-like" covered container and bake it in an oven, albeit a microwave oven. 🤓)

Thanks Gary, those piccolino tomatoes are halved, and fried in olive oil, and the asparagus and finely diced garlic are too :) Mushrooms work well. I'd have added fresh basil if I'd had any. One of my favourite non-ragu spaghetti dishes, uses just garlic and pine-kernels. I had it in a restaurant for the first time, and it is delicious. Another I like is with diced garlic and chillis, cherry tomatoes and basil :)

I've been to the East tonight :D Stir-fried veggies, cashews nuts and fake chicken, with noodles and black bean sauce ;)

While I’ve never actually had poutine, I know it’d be right up my alley. Looks great! :thumbsup:

Jack, do they do that thing there where they call meat alternatives things like “chik’n”?

(Not to be confused with the US-based fast food chain Chick-fil-A, who use misspellings in their cow ads, but serve actual chicken.) 😉

I try & be good. I do, I do.
My daughter & her boyfriend went to the Newcastle show on Saturday. It's like your county fair, rides, animals, exhibits they even had camel races this year.
Well they do show bags, toys & things for the kids. Also do lolly/candy bags.
Lorna knows I love chocolate. This is what she got me. Bad influence says me😈😄
