Forum Knife Updates and comments

I couldn’t quote the original post but this is a picture for one of the earlier discussions of the forum knife. I obviously can’t be sure this is what it will look like as I think is is a buck knife from many years ago. You can’t say they don’t know what a full flat grind is though.

I'm far from a Buck expert, but that looks like a Camillus made one. I'd be perfectly happy if it looked like that.

Hi, I read carefully about the specs/description on the knife while I was placing the order. I noticed that for the steel CPM-154 was listed. Was it not supposed to be 154-CM?
Unless I am mistaken, these steels are not quite the same ("The finer carbide particles in CPM 154 might allow it to outperform 154CM - but might not be noticeable to the average user" - or so I understand). Just curious, Thanks! Raul

The steel that won the poll was CPM 154, which is an upgrade over 154CM.

Problem solved, order placed. All good! Thanks!

Hello skblades,
I've tried to follow the link that knarfeng sent to me to place my order, but received this information "Your account is limited. Please log in to your PayPal account at PayPal.com.au to resolve this." when paying via PayPal (I'm in Australia).
I believe this is not my problem because I use Paypal regularly to pay US sellers. I did receive similar reminds and it was all because the seller restrict their sales to overseas.
So can you please check and resolve the issue? That'll be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Falling_rain

I had a few problems ordering, but all is good now. I am new to the forum, and this is my first forum knife. I just wanted to thank skblades for the hard work on this terrific forum knife, and all the members of the forum for being so welcoming in general. This is a very good group to be a member of and I hope to learn a lot from you folks in the future.:)

Waiting for a transfer in $ on my Paypal account. hope it won't take too long, anyway, I'll manage to get mine!:)

In for two.

Thanks to all for the hard work on this project. Had fun with the polling process, even though I struck out on most choices!

I noticed an issue which might affect a few other non US members. I'd arranged that a US friend on the forum was going to ship my knife over for me. The clever website recognises which country you're in though, and there doesn't seem to be a way of overriding that.

Got mine ordered, many thanks to skblades, buck and everyone who had a hand in making this happen:thumbsup::thumbsup:
