I think I'm about to go give them a whirl myself~ I'm going to call them "Best Ever" already compared to initial "never again" experience.
Wonder if I should call first? see if they're out of stock? If they say, "Won't have any for 2 weeks" I'll know

here I was waiting on some report from the front but nothing - silence. This tells me the curds were probably good and they all passed out from heart stopping triglyceride euphoria induced hallucinations of castles of cheese melting like wax candles, dancing bears of all colors, periods of unaccountable time, waking up to a burning ass that identifies suspected jalapeño Cherry sauce linked to the Skye Cinema as the root cause sending this cascading series of events~ it will be the Busse Compound fortress where the bodies will be found basking in drooling cheese fat, various sticky substances akin to corn syrup, metal shavings, Infi possibly.....shit, Told you they would be better than Dairy Queen, not even in the same weight class ~ Newest batch of shipped bacon should be noted - "Please Wash Before handling - May Be Sticky, Not Saying Why"

The restaurant is waiting for 3 overloaded semi trucks to arrive this week that are filled with enough curds to satiate the in-house HOGs!!

We are within days of pigging out on what have been rumored to be the "Greatest Cheese Curds Of All Time!!!"🥲

Can't wait to judge for myself!!!

Let's Drink!

That's awesome Jerry! and 100% from the crew?
OK, I'm in for them soon, sure it will be awesome! ... Someone posted something on FB locally about the place. Looked at the menu and bingo! Curds in play!
Now Jerry, for the offset, 1hr on the treadmill, 30 minutes on the stepper/elliptical, 1 lap around the block in a brisk walk, 2nd lap fast walk - Then go getcha some more of them awesome curds! :D

Hey Jerry, got me to thinking, how's about a special "Curd" limited edition charcuterie battle blade..... Shoot a couple ounces of whatever this weeks distilled hydrator infatuation is and Tell me that doesn't spark some creativity :D

I worked in a cheese factory 20 years ago and my job(s) were to flip, cut, and salt the curd.

Such a squeaky snack. I ate enough *fresh* curd that the packaged curds at the store have no appeal! I ate enough curd that I dont really want to eat curd ever again at all.

Frozen custard, on the other hand, I have not satisfied my hunger for.

I followed your link and almost ate my laptop!

Need to make the run!!!!

That mental image made me cackle 😂
Freddy’s is some good stuff! My 4 year olds favorite place to eat. And kids are picky. Always get some curds there and never take any home! 😁
Yes, yes they are. I love basically everything they put out. Simple and tastes great. My curds never make it home either... best red light snack ever haha.

I could imagine.. I did something similar to myself with philly cheesesteaks for a few years in college. The sandwich shop I worked at part time made some bomb ones, but just ate too many. I bet I could stomach one now though.

I bet fresh curds are awesome too.. I can't get enough cheese in my life.

Great, now I have to drive 998 miles for the best cheese curds. I thought 203 miles to get lunch at Buc-cees was bad enough……

Don't read this - This is not for you.

Had the curds at the ReelWood Kitchen little bit ago, Jerry really didn't play it up as much as he could have.

Lets start with the outer shell - A round, crispy, firm really dry, not oily in the least. You bite into them and the crusty, caramelized outer coating of hot honey infused panko. It's thin outer breading breaks like a fragile shell when the soft, melted cheese curd flows out, like lava cake. The Cherry Jalapeno dipping sauce has a sweet cherry forward with the hint of spice and heat. It is quite frankly, delectable.
This is not the rubbery, squeaky, bouncy and tasteless curd you're used to, this is amazing what it is. If I have had these first time ever? I'm be insulted to try what are normally sold as fried curd, they are not ion the same category of description. I could eat a pound of these things before I came out of the trance to ask "where did they all go?" ...

In summary, I now understand Jerry's "100% Approved" from the compound - I don't know how anyone could not like these.

I told you not to read this Grav ~ ... Your comment was one of my first thoughts.... I went, "oh.....no....I can't lie about this" Sorry - f'n amazing and I think cheese curds are in the "Disgusting" category.

One of AleSmith Brewing’s master brewers started making cheese curds about a year or so back. Last week he rolled out the horseradish cheese curds. Super. Dooper.

My favorite both fried and natural were the Mexican sweet corn he did. Maybe like 1/8 of a kernel sized bits. Just enough to have a different pop texture and a blast of sweet corn. Delicious. And one I thought I’d hate that I ate way too much of was the pumpkin spice near Halloween. Smelled like you’d think. But just barely a hint of whatever spice that is, then cheesy goodness.

I only discovered cheese curds when I was Gunsmithing outside of Tillamook, OR, in 2019-2020. So still new but always been cheesy.

I usually eat them as is but when I do deep fry them, Avocado oil for the high burn point and mild flavor at about 450f in the deep fryer with a combo of panko and tempura. Not going to say they’re the best because it’s my taste buds. But I think y’all would eat at least a few. ;)
