Happy Friday. Here’s a Toole in black paper micarta along with my cat Toby. I recently taught him to shake hands. He figured out the more he sticks out his paw the likelier it is he’ll get a treat. His special talent is he tolerates turkeys.

That looks like some great country Barrett. Keep those walks up.I walked four more miles on the Dakota Rail Trail today, covering miles 2 through 4. It was mostly cloudy, but the sun kept peeking out every so often. It’s also unseasonably cool here, with a high of only 59° today, though it looks like it’ll warm back up into the 70s next week.

One of my favorite things about this trail (when it’s warm and sunny out, rather than cool and overcast, that is) is how much natural shade some parts of it have.
![]()
The section of trail I walked today goes between Orono and Minnetonka Beach, both small communities on Lake Minnetonka. I’ve learned it’s best not to look up the values of houses in this area.

Because it was built on an old railroad bed, the trail crosses several old trestle bridges. Most of them are fairly small, but I think this one, Arcola Bridge, might be the longest at around 550 feet.

I would have taken some pictures of the lake, but it was seriously windy as I crossed the bridge — I had to take my hat off and stuff it in my back pocket to keep from losing it — so I didn’t hang around too long. I did get one quick snap of the Lambsfoot I had with me, though.

Thank you Barrett. This is easily my most carried lamb, I just love it.Your GL-24 is looking good. Are you cooking up anything tasty with those pellets?
I totally forgot to answer this.Your GL-24 is looking good. Are you cooking up anything tasty with those pellets?
Thanks, Steve, but that’s actually a different knife. I believe it was a short run Jack had done in Indonesian Rosewood, so while it was aJack Black exclusive, it wasn’t one of the annual Guardians knives.
I decided to put this old Gal in my pocket today. My first day out venturing after being stuck inside with a bad dose of the lurgy, it always hits me in my Lungs big time!
Herbert Robinson, Sheffield. This thing is sharp after a little stropping
Have the best day folks.View attachment 2969117
