I'm living in Colorado, so you'd think I'd get it right. I knew it was an Elk, but used the wrong term for the male form. Thanks.Sarah, your craftsmanship is stunning. Anybody would be proud to carry something that you’ve produced. That engraving of thebuckbull elk on a starry night is phenomenal!
The pattern has texture? Is that to "hold" the inlay?
wooooooah
I always wanted to know how that works.
very cool
I used the words "stunning" and "phenomenal". But I'd also call it amazing, and spectacular. The pattern has texture? Is that to "hold" the inlay? Looks quite elegant.
DocJekl - it is a STAG Barlow after all.

All that scroll work is yours? Very nice!I'm here with some unconventional ornament. My husband plays this card game. I guess it is very "trendy" to make changes to the cards and do your own art on them... if you are good. I did this card in bold american scroll, and titled it "Hand Engraver's Ornamental Sol Ring". It's not your typical hand engraver's fare but I thought some here might enjoy it.
I painted this card with a very tiny paintbrush by hand under my microscope. It took me the afternoon, but only after a trial card that ended in failure, that I learned a lot from.
Yes, I do all my designs myself, nothing I make is derivative or copiedAll that scroll work is yours? Very nice!
