[you would understand the engineering reason for putting holes in the blade]
Let me guess.... less inertia... to make the blade flip faster, perhaps ?
Whatever, even if it is great at opening letters or cutting strings, there's no way I'm interested in a knife with a blade that needs meticulous cleaning whenever I happen to cut a fruit (gasp !), or sausage (no !) or some ripe cheese (yeesh !) or whatever stuff that will gunk up those holes. I'm not a speed guy and I definitely did not mean to rain on your joy at discovering a possible break through in automatics technology.
