looking around on ebay, seems like axe prices are going down. norlunds are now almost nearly believable prices and the average price looks to be about $20 for everything else.

also, anybody else noticing crosscut saw prices going down? im seeing $50 saws that 6 months ago would've been $130

embossed heads however, still sky high. cant wait to see black raven prices

A couple drill bits I picked a while ago,I think they are drill press bits

IDK what you have. It caught my interest because I don't remember seeing bits like those. Earlier I was looking for something else and ran across this ad which is similiar looking to yours:

I didn't look into them but apparently the ones in the add were used by machinists.

Spade bits like that were common 'back in the day.
Commonly called a Boiler Drill when attached to the ratchet.
Backside of the ratchet held a jackscrew. Obviously it needed something solid to back against. What could be another structure or a method of chains or such held the rig against the workpiece.
You can find old crime scene photos where these things were used by safecrackers.
Somewhere in the barn is a C clamp sort of rig what was specialised to drill rails or I beams.

I picked these up at a small flea market on the way to a cross country meet today. The skillets were $3 each. I paid $8 for the 2 hatchets.

If only that hatchet could talk! Either someone was nutty about sharpening or that head has a million hours/miles on it. A considerable amount of blade has gone missing.
