You can round that silly point in the handle down on a belt sander like I did on the swabbie parang. You’re right though, the stock bumpy plastic grips leave a bit to be desired.

You got the last of my homemade burlap micarta lol. I’m going to make another batch at some point. I’m really happy that they fit your mitts!

An older model 1211 with low grind from 2008.
A few scratches on the coating toward the tip.
A bit of staining on the factory edge which
has since been given a light rub with the diamonds.
Now she's hair popping scary sharp.
Good to go!
 
Older model 1217 from 2008.
Came in the "Blueprints" design box.
Sheath shows a few marks from knife insertion.
Knife is clean,tight and scary sharp.
Excellent addition to the collection!



 
Here is my Kabar kabar, and my Case kabar - Haha!! Gonna post them both here- the Kabar is a "presentation from when I EAS'd out of the Corp. The Case is one I saw at a thrift store and could not let it stay there. Notice the unused state of it! I my world, the Kabar is in a presentation plaque on my "I Love me" wall. The Case would be a worker if I needed it to be. This decade the case is at my bedside - last ditch effort IF all else fails (and that ain't too likely!).

The hatchet looks uggly at first but the more i look at it the more it grows in coolness.
 
Sorry about the delay with that. Just can’t bring myself to venture too long outside right now, it’s pretty damn cold. Lol
