Knives and Drinks!

Not far enough if the phones work......😉
That said, there are fewer and fewer places where phones don't work. What's strange, at my house I have no cell reception, so when the internet/power go out, I'm offline, but most of the places to camp/explore here in Maine, you'll have cell service, some places even offer wifi...

Usually we are at this spot (using Starlink) but my daughter is getting married. She wanted to hike to a secluded area with just immediate family, and have small service. The significant other has more traditional ideas so compromise was a “in the mountains” wedding. 😎

We usually like to be off grid and not have any neighbors on these trips. You can still get lost in the Sierras .

I love a good grappa but it's not commonly stocked at liquor stores around me and choices tend to be very limited. Given the hassle of mail order, I'll just occasionally grab whatever they have. This stuff isn't great but it did pair nicely with the "Harvest Moon" flavored Tatiana. It's always fun when you venture out into unknown territory and find a fun pairing.

Hence the stop....

The Harvest, from The Irishmen. This used to be called their Founder's Reserve. I don't like the name change. The double "the" just sounds messy. It tastes good though. It's a blended Irish but no random grain whiskey, just a nice ratio of single malt and single pot still.
