MM ok Jeff, I understand.
We differ about Jerry .I prefer porn over Jerry any time.

I have seen the Junglas video. It is good.A bit lengthy though. But that's his style.

Watching a good movie is always worth my time,or a good documentaire.

I like the nutnfancy reviews for the most part. They are very in depth. The thing to remember when watching his reviews or any one else's for that matter is that they are only a review from that persons perspective or perspectives. Which by the way, a good gear reviewer should have more than one perspective in my opinion. The only person that can tell you what works for you is you. So the key is listening to the data points and asking yourself if that's something that you yourself prefer or not. I'm smart enough to make up my own mind if something may work well for me or if the price is worth it. And I'm sure you are too. But when I haven't had any hands on experience with a product it's nice to hear or see a very in depth review on it showing of those data points. Just don't let his opinion be your opinion. Take the data points and apply them to your needs (wants : ) Long story short, Just take it for what it's worth.

Exactly rogerschrisj.

Very well said.
Like for example Nuntfancy's preference of a large blade over an axe.
It doesn't mean you have to take a large blade over an axe too when chopping up some wood.

We all have our preferences and besides that there is also something like the most effective tool for the job despites someones preference.

Another good point is that he points out what HE considers an items weekness as well. Some people on Youtube are just Fanboys with nothing negative to say about whatever it is they are reviewing.

This is a very true statement.

I see them fanboys everywhere.
You got them in knifeforums, the BRKT and Ranger knife fanboys.Don't say anything negative about it ,or you'll be up against 'an army of angry followers'.
And in knifetests.c forums they scuff/look down at these knives at the same time swear by Busse knives as the über-knife "über alles"(above all).Everything in the knife is better than in all other brands.

Every steel ,has its plusses and cons like every knife length has.

Some guys only hike/travel ,with a 4inch blade length, around. And manage to do all with it to live.
So where is the NEED for a large blade(10 inch) when someone has the wits to use with less.

Hey, don't forget the fanboys of the ESEE Cult too! We usually hurt their feelings somewhere down the line though

That's called keeping it real. And keeping it real always busts somebody's bubble eventually. I swear, I don't know how those people make it living in their little bubble world.world.

That's what i like about you Jeff,

You tell it like it is.
You show your preference for a machete .
Not doing this advertise talk for the Junglas.

The Junglas is a good knife.
But for some tasks there are better options.

Same with the ESEE-5.
I know the Mora (i have 5 of them) does easier job with small tasks. But not for tougher jobs.

I like my ESEE-5's.
It is a tough knife. And sharp.

All well said. I would consider myself a Magpul Fanboy, but I thought the MS2 sling was horrible, except for the ease of transition to one point. I took it apart for the hardware, and bought another sling to replace it.

Thanks. BTW: I like your poetry/song style of writing. :D

Also, why don't people like the fact that it's 41 minutes long. The people on this forum love blades. And spend tons of time readIng up on them lookIng at them. Evidenced by many people post# well into the hundreds if not thousands. So the more the better.
Do people have such ADD that they can't watch a short TV program?

It's not about having or not having ADD. If I watch a knife review, I want to hear about the knife and not hear the word "tactical" or "dudes" 200 times every 10 minutes, embedded political opinions, "sheep dog" talk or anything else. You're reviewing a knife? Let's hear it then, leave out the superfluous, unrelated garbage please. I enjoy his older videos, when they were about the knives/guns/gear and not about everything else.

I much more value the varied opinions of people on the forums in regards to a potential purchase. Many members on here make excellent videos reviewing the knives strengths and weaknesses, value, etc. without taking close to an hour of my time while putting me to sleep.

ADD has nothing to do with me not wanting to watch 41 minutes of a knife, gun, blow-up doll, the latest dildo or anything else being reviewed. I simply have better things to do with my time. I don't see what the big debate is. If you like watching it, fine. No one is saying you shouldn't.

I agree, for me.....FOR ME!....He interjects too much of his personal "POU" stuff into the reviews.

Couple that with the fact that his personality rubs me, the way he talks and the like drives me a bit nuts.

I'm a BRKT fanboy. I'm Also a Fallkniven fanboy and an ESEE fanboy. I like what I use and if that makes me a fanboy so be it. I honestly think to many folks think that only one brand makes good knives. The truth is I have yet to find the perfect knife. And I have a few BRKTs that I let go because the knife just wasnt what I expected. (maybe I should design my own):D. Some good companies and some good knives but havent found perfection yet. I like watching knife videos but 41 minutes is to long for me. 10 minutes max.

Showing my own ignorance here, but I'm not sure who that is.

You haven't been here long enough then to know who the GREAT Cliff Stamp was. He was, and will always be, my ultimate hero. I say we get a petition together to make Spark bring that idiot back.
