S30V steel made easy work of the deer

This is my 110. It aint as purty as some the ones you guys have. My Grandfather gave it to me in the 80s. Its about 30 yrs old if not older, and thats the original sheath.

**UPDATE** Found out thru the site that this 110 was made between 74-80 So I was pretty close with my age proximity.

First timer here, figured I'd share my two Buck knives. They are the 110+ and 112^. I believe they were my late uncles, or possibly my late grandfathers knives.

I was getting ready to list this one on the bay, but I thought I'd see if anyone here could tell me more about it. The handle says PRCA PRORODEO. The only stamping on the blade is BUCK USA. The linerlock is stamped Pat. Pending 180\. I have never seen this model before. Is this a custom knife made for PRCA, or a prototype, or what? Can anyone give me more information about this knife. It would be greatly appreciated! :)

The model is a 180.
If you start a thread with ypur question it will probably get more response.

Buck made a line of different model knives for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. They were offered in Bucks Catalog for several years to the general public. They were discontinued after a few years.

As mentioned if you are really after some information and discussion you need to start a regular thread in the Buck forum and others will show you their PRCA knives and give you facts on yours. If you are just fishing for bay listing info. you have about all I am going to let you have here in a speciality photo thread, before closing your posting .

Nice looking scales.
What type of wood did you use?
I did that to a 279 also :) It is one of my favorite and most used daily carry knives.
Much better than the black.stock scales!

I used Bankirai wood. It was like an old wooden tile we had laying around. I think it turned out nicely.

Looks really nice. You made it yourself as well?
I'm thinking about making another one with a different kind of wood. Any wood you can recommened? What wood would look nice?

Yep, made the handle scales myself.

I am partial to any Burl.
Also I think Birds Eye Maple would be pretty nice on a 279.
