Old farts and friction folders.

Another Morris here, it's a beast of a knife, much too heavy to ever carry and the pivot is very tight. It's a great desk piece though!

NOT a folder, but still a old butt-belch knife:
Toferner reproduction Medieval Celtic/Norse/"Viking" pocket knife, in a modified OEM sheath with Celtic/Norse/"Viking" Runes around three interwoven diamonds. (clipped to a split ring on the first (last?) right belt loop, hanging in RFP.)

Here's my old fart friction folder. If anyone would have any information on the smith's mark, it would come greatly appreciated!

I'm not an expert, but that looks VERY old and very French. Try posting in "Traditional French Friday" or the "Old Knives" thread pinned at the top of the forum.

Thank you my friend. I'll post it in both, and see what comes about.

SVORD (full size) Peasant Repair/Mod.
Blade was hitting the non-pivot brass spacer/Chicago Screw.
I "fixed" it. 😁
Before:

During. (also oiled the pivot spacer/Chicago Screw and blade hole while apart)

White rubber doughnut/ ring is a small castration ring that came with a slingshot/catapult to retain the band. One of the forks broke. 😡🤬
I salvage the rings and the band. The rest is buried somewhere in the "local" landfill.

I have two orange full size Peasant. Repair/mod done on both.

I also modified a no name shaped canvas sheath (has a layer of plastic between outer & inner nylon) to carry the Svord.

Nylon passed over a lighter flame to prevent fraying.
Yes. I no the sheath is almost as ugly as I R.
(I r "EWWww-gly". Merely "ugly" would be a considerable upgrade/improvement. 😇)
