Railsplitter and a #49. I just love the 49's. When I got this yellow one there were no cracks at the center pins. There are now. Oh well..

I was disappointed with the F&F on this one. It was supposed to be a premium knife. Sloppy work on the shield. Slabs could have been fitted better. Blades a little loose when opened.
Queen blew it with this one. Just a little more attention to detail and it would have been perfect.

I'm a big Queen fan, but I've noticed that shield issue as well. I can only wonder what the problem is, as it would seem to me that there should be a jig for each shield that would result in a perfect fit every time, as other knife makers seem to be able to do. It's a mystery.

That's one of the nicest Railsplitters that I've ever seen! Do you know what those scales are called?

Love that older gunstock Invoice!
But I'm afraid the sowbelly would have to be exchanged if it came to me that way. :( As you said it is a top of the line knife and I'm sure the price reflects that, no reason for that to slip by inspection:mad: I have heard a bunch of people saying the quality control has been lacking and I do believe it has gone down hill some. Whenever I received a less that acceptable knife it when straight back to my dealer and it didn't take long before he was checking them before sending....but it always helps if you are a "good" customer!!:D

redsparrow redsparrow -Great call! Haven’t hardly seen the Northwoods in awhile, IRJs are classics in and of themselves.
Thanks, Neal
Thank you Neal. I feel fortunate to have an IRJ. It's a great size of a favorite pattern. An equal end-er that's not to big and not to small but just right. Plus it's blade is 154cpm. A steel that's easy to sharpen yet retains it's edge well. Once again not to hard and not to soft but just right. To me it's kind of a Goldie Locks knife... just right. Could be why my Indian River Jack is covered in smooth blonde bone. ;):D

I believe someone has already posted this Bladeforums 2010 Queen Moose but I was to lazy to go back thru all 18 pages of this thread to be sure!:D But I took the photo so I'm gonna post it anyway!!!:p;):)
