Reminds me of the time I was in an Apple store, quite a few years ago. I pulled out a ZT folder, to help the Apple attendant open a package. He didn’t freak out, but did take a step back and said, “That’s a big knife”, several times. 😊

Happy New Year, all! Mike

I was at a conference dinner this year and someone at the table asked about hobbies. I said that I enjoy making knives. A guy from England said, "well that's terrifying". I didn't miss a beat, I burst out laughing and said that his comment was hilariously ignorant. Five minutes later everyone including him were looking at some Coop photos with appreciation.

Then you're doing your job helping desensitize the sheep

Well birthday is closing in

Had a 20 minute argument with my wife about the age I was turning ( of course I was wrong....I thought I was going to be a year older than I actually am lol)

Once again I realize I'm turning into a real life mixture of Homer Simpson and Al Bundy but a knife nut lol

Regardless...... I go to a freaking beer hotel Monday ... F YES!
Have a great time man! Happy Birthday and Cheers!🥳

NYC - pulled out a Spyderco Ladybug to cut something once and a friend of mine: O it's a weapon!
I rightly predicted that the fair state of NY was going to see the last of me soon

Many people like to confuse the conduct of people in NYC with the rest of the state, you did it yourself even. Move out of that shithole city and go somewhere else in the state to see it’s not all that bad, especially the rural areas. Where I live it’s strange not to see people with knives on their belts, hell I still see trucks with gun-racks in the back windows sometimes lol

I used to feel good once I got to the Shawangunks, or out in the Catskills, Adirondacks or western NY...for climbing, canoeing, xc skiing or backpacking.

Lots to like in NY...putting politicians and criminal deviants aside.

Oh I totally agree with you and Blues Blues . Catskills especially looked like fun. In wintertime, when people went hunting it was so cold that they used to leave the deer carcasses on their flatbeds overnight before driving back home.
For me at that time, it was a NYC or move out kind of a deal

I’ve got friends from NY state that live all over the country now and we all have different but good jobs. I don’t get the feeling the grass is greener anywhere else after talking to them all on a regular basis. I do live in a good part of WNY however where it’s easy living still with more trees than people and it’s easy to escape.

I do love going to visit them all though and seeing how different it is even if it’s just a few states away.

Speaking of escaping, pray for some freezing temps here, the ice fishing gear is waiting by the garage door. (Currently 53 and raining)

I live in Brooklyn, work in Manhattan, and have carried knives for years. Plenty of us do. I really wouldn’t go too far in assuming who carries what in NYC.
