In my experience both are extremely close with very minor differences. I'd go with D3V for the cost and a few other reasons.

The seller is implying that the Machinest guy is very hard to get. I like our own easy going version much better and I'll buy a great knife from the Machinist anyday over a Machinest!
 
I'm really liking the meson build system. I can reduce my CPU clock rate by 500 MHz and memory by 200 MHz and still build systemd faster than I would with autotools on an overclocked system. Only issue is the lack of build options for packages such as pango which requires gobject-introspection with meson versus the option of disabling introspection under autotools. Regardless, it's ninja for the win!

While enhancing the parameters within your own control such as clock speed and the Internet speeds give you extra advantage, there are still some other factors which are out of our control on Fridays sales. I have noticed that the refresh cycle on the page increasing lags as the clock is reaching 3:00 PM Eastern. But yes, every microsecond will count on that highly anticipated BC sales thread.
 
Haha! The 3 of us still up and posting are from Cali. That weirdo Grog is nocturnal and lives like a vampire. Bacon is probably 17 hours ahead of us here in the West Coast so he doesn't count!

I've got Nathan as a friend on bladeforums and have an idea of refreshing my "Your news feed" page when he posts his next sale instead of the exchange page, which everyone will be on....i wonder if it will make a difference. Probably not, and if it does, well now everyone will know my "secret"
