Well shit, my daughter gets excited just looking at the moon through our telescope. That comet would blow her mind.

There was a time when the ancients used to think of comets as a harbinger for some sort of impending calamitous events such as wars, famine, great floods, plagues... Oh wait, wut???!!!

Long ago and far away, I got everyone up at around 2 AM to see Halley's comet. I took binoculars and my 20x spotting scope and a tripod. We could see the comet better with the 8x binocular.
I tried to take some pictures, but the point and shot camera didn't cut it.
