Red alert traditionals!

Nice one JP! Good to see it so at home in its new home:D:D

That's a fine watch and pouch too:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Watch and pouch come from Grand'Pa, before and during WWII my Ma worked as a secretary for Omega. I fixed the watch recently, it was stopped since prewar...
This one is silver, and she had a steel Tissot I cherish too :)

Beautiful Barkie that one Jeff! Only just noticed it.

Here's my Amboynia Classic Lite Hunter (Sandvik) Also have an Escort in Red Micarta but never got a pic of it..

Thought I'd revive this thread, Red is a fine colour for knives and many of the images here have been 'harvested' by that Grim Raper P-Buck...  So let's see if we can find some more Red Alerts.

My good friend Ron very generously gave me this fine Redbone Case large Penknife not long ago. All that's right about red!

Thanks, Charlie, three awesome ones you show! What is the pattern number of the big one at the bottom?

Thanks Jeff, that Dixie gets my eyes swivelling.

Harry, CASE is the master in those days, as you show, great selection!

Charlie, those Whittlers are what they must have used on the Sistine Chapel in Rome, magnificent beasts!

Regards, Will

Glad you like them!!
That's the 6380, Jeff. I listed them in order.
(quavering voice);
Back in my day, those was a complete whittler collection, sonny! Unless you was rich, and could afford a 6391 (the extra-big'un!) Never did get me one a them!!

Yup, got 'em from Mike the Angel-Oh, hisself!!
:D:D

Thanks, Charlie. My eyes jumped immediately to that beautiful bone, and I completely missed the pattern numbers in your post!

No problem, Jeff. I prefer the visuals myself - that's why we like it when people post pictures!!
(Everyone - hint hint!!)
You can probably tell that the Case 6380 influenced the Grinling Whittler pattern a bit! This Blood Red Grinling is quite dark!!

Nice pair of knives Mr. Burnt Stag. Can't say I've ever seen that Cylops version before!!! Is it a #73?

The Case #80 or the GEC #38 would make a grand cattle knife, with the spear and sheepfoot at the large end, and a pen, spey or punch at the small end.
