Is this unused knife with all items in original packaging worth $125.00? It is available to me at a local store.

No! Absolutely NOT! Just tell me where it is so I can dispose of it properly. ;)

Schrade + blade in mint, looks like a good price.
I paid a little more for this Carbon Blade one. Ken

Seems on the high end for a non serialed stainless+ 153 even with all the fixins. I'd say the fishing report is better out in the Bay currently.

Is it new old stock from a reputable brick and mortar store?

Ha, thanks but no thanks, good price then?
I'd say it's a fair price providing your answer to the above question is yes..

I see a lot of Golden Spikes for sale there brand new for $30, but if you look into it, they are all made in China. That makes Big difference to me.
There is no way I would in good faith send a new Schrade collector there. That would be akin to sending a Lamb into a Wolf Pack for a fair deal.

Thrift store place, I'll have to check on serial number and it's not made in china

In that case, make em an offer. Thrift stores are "very" negotiable as they usually have no money invested. I'd bet they would jump on a one hundred dollar bill, or less. Start by offering them $75. They'll respond. ;)

After shipping the OP's price might be an ok deal but I wouldnt pay that much unless it was a SW 153 >#100 NIB.:D

I get what your saying. However with a little time and waiting given the amount of 153's that popup on the auction site I'd counsel the OP to be patient and wait.

Isn't that what this forum is for? A place to educate others on the history of genuine Shrades and it's ancillary knife companies.

I agree though that the OP should edumacate themselves somewhat so as to not get fleeced like a spring sheep.

Yup! x 3. ;)

Would one with a serial number designate the original run, and or if the new old stock had serial numbers would they start at a certain number or other different designation? I guess the real question is how can you tell if it's new old stock?

This one is For Sale for under $80.
It looks like you can still find good Golden Spikes, for under $100.

Hi Irv, when did they stop using the brown box? And when did they start using the stainless steel for their blades. Ken
