I am not saying that serialization stayed until they closed their doors...LOL I was just adding the bit about the Loss Replacement Knives not being serialized. As Ken stated above, Schrade Record keeping was horrible at best. I am fortunate enough to have some Schrade files that I peruse every chance I get and they do not address serialization at all. Although I do find something new every time I open up a box of files, no matter how many times I have been in that box. I am sure that even some replacement knives from the Loss Prevention went out with serial numbered knives, just because it was easier to grab one that was already on the line and serialized than search for the non serialized ones. It's just human nature...take the path of the least resistance. Sorry if I misled you!
