SMALLS (Traditionals only)

Sears Craftsman:
Years ago I carried a Sears Craftsman pen knife at work, just like the one in front. When I first got it and showed it off, everyone laughed about how small it was. Next thing you know it was "hey, can I borrow your knife?" day after day after day. I eventually lost that one but liked it so much I got a replacement. (I carried the Buck 305 for quite a while also. The Schrade-Walden was modded after these pictures by glennbad with ivory scales and is special occasion carry only now.)

I'm very fond of smallish knives. I pretty much have to have one in my watch pocket every day or I don't feel right. For me though, they are a supplement to a larger knife in my right front pocket.

Here are a few that I like to carry.

Nice selection! That Ka-bar and the Cocobolo? one right below it really catch my eye.

Got a few SMALLS myself.
2.75" Case 5120R Peanut.

2.75" Camillus 22 Pony Jack.

3" Camillus. No idea what the model number is for this guy, but it lives up to it's name.
With the clip main plus a screw driver and at only 9/32" thick it is a utilitarian pleasure to carry when a thicker SAK isn't desired.

3" Imperial shell construction knife. Cheap but it cuts to it's size just fine.

3.25" Northwoods Stag Jack.

3.25" Craftsman 9546.

And the 3.25" Buck 704.

Funny you started this thread. I just received this Pepe Jalomo Mini Lanny's Clip today and I'm fascinated with it! It's only 3.25" closed. It seems tiny but it's so solid and feels larger than it looks. I have a med/lg hand size and I can get a full grip. It feels fantastic in hand. Can't wait to get to know it better.

Nice pics

Are you saying you dislike all the other small knives Jack? ;) LoL.

LOL! No, certainly not! :D

I like small knives, (and in fact specifically collect very small ones), but I find the ergonomics of some better than others. The GEC #25's for example, I think have great ergonomics for a small knife. Peanuts can be a bit small for my large hands

I'm not in a position to take any pictures right now, so I'll just post this older one, and mention that I'm very much a fan of small knives. From memory, the ones I have that fit this thread are:
Schrade 807UH (shown)
Schrade SP1 lockback
Case peanut (2)
Case mini copperhead
Case 6344 "medium" stockman (a small medium)
Buck 703
Victorinox Rambler
Wenger Esquire

I'd have to go measure, but I'll bet the Case swayback gent and swayback jack (2) fit the category also!

No matter what I always at least have a Vic Classic on my keychain and usually have a peanut sized knife in my watch pocket.
With the nice thin stock these knives have it isn’t hard to keep them hair poppin sharp.
