I had to get it. The manix and smock are my favorites knives (so far) and the dlt manix was super nice. The smock is excellent for food prep so the m390 should be great.DLT has the Smock up right now. Red, M390. I _assume_ at $203 that they won't sell out in five minutes... it is a nice looking knife.
Kinda surprised they are still available as I type this... I had no interest in the Smock originally, but the DLT version pushed me over the edge on trying one. Looking forward to see how it stacks up!I had to get it. The manix and smock are my favorites knives (so far) and the dlt manix was super nice. I really wanted this one and actually was waiting for the drop. But I’m a lefty and that button lock scared me as far as accidentally releasing it when in a left handed grip.DLT has the Smock up right now. Red, M390. So I passed![]()
Thanks for the reply Jordan and I’m still fighting the temptationI've used my smock a fair amount in my left hand without an issue so far, but everyone will grip a little differently.
The red smock was still available upon waking in Hawaii and I got one. Never thought much about the black s30v version but this one looks nice! I'm usually a larger knife kinda guy but I've come around to the value of a small pocketable shank, having ordered my first Delica recently. Up next... come on K390 Endura! I missed out on DLT's Hinderer Bowies over the last week and this one scratches the itch a little...just checked DLT, Smock now out of stock.
That’s great to hear !! Us lefty’s live in a right handed world lol.as a lefty I can vouch that the button lock works great! I almost feel like the button lock is meant for a lefty.

Looks I got mine to just before they sold out![]()
To be honest I’ve had mostly all right handed knives all my life so I’ve been basically converted. I always carry on my right side even when a clip is flippable. I can handle a knife on my right as far as deployment and light use but anything heavy duty my left hand takes over. For many years I always carried a knife on my right side and a gun on my strong arm side left so that’s what I got use to. Some knives are more left handed friendly then others but most are pretty good. Pm 2 ,Pm3 ,Manix , Canis , Kapara , Delica and probably missed a few bit there all left hand friendly for me .TheFactor not to derail this thread, but wondering what your preference is for best Spyderco friendly left handed knives? Have a Manix and basically have adapted throughout life to use my right hand for a ton of stuff (I have several regular PM2's and other brand knives), but do enjoy certain things that are "truly" left handed. Haven't tried the lefty PM2 yet.
Also, I only buy the knives manufactured in Golden, so I know that is definitely a self-imposed limiting factor...
