I'm sorry. I somehow missed your question. It is actually natural bone that is coloring with age and the lighting enhanced it some. The pattern is 090 Case stockman. I wish Case made more of these. It's my favorite stockman.

No, it came in the standard box of it's era. I bought it new in a gunshop about 15 or so years ago.

Makes me think mine might be in the wrong box!!!??? The other knives for sale with it had the boxes and heritage shield! I suspect mine was switched some years ago!!!

You are welcome. I had always figured it was an end-of-days Schrade, but the box should be blue and gray at the end of days period.
