Did you do anything special to get that patina?

Did you do anything special to get that patina?
Used it to cut warm meat in a restaurant that gives you plastic dinnerware! My wife and I passed it back and forth after breaking our plastic knives. It was bright when we started and looked like this picture after we were done with dinner. I have later pictures where it has gained more patina since that picture was taken.

This is how the main blade looks now (not any deeper, but more of the blade has gained patina). The Spey blade has gained some patina coverage but the Sheepfoot blade hasn't as yet. I use the Sheepfoot to score with, so no real immersion into anything.

Nice one Steve!!! 😎
John 😁
Thanks. 😇👍
I "think" it was inexpensive when new. (Under $10?)
Hollow Bolster/Shell construction Imperial or no, it has no wiggly-wobbly blades, has a smooth "5" pull on all the blades, and takes and holds a 10 DPS keen edge. 😁👍
I also like the Old "Hickory-ish" blade detail ... also that it is 4 inches closed. 😇
