Tanto Blades Suck with Example

American tantos are great for piercing hard skinned veggies like butternut squash.

This is what the OP needed; leaked here FIRST but coming this June at Blade Show, a new fix blade from Emerson. The CBC (Close Banana Combat), serrated. Modern polymer construction and typical Emerson ergos. A must for high speed, low drag grocery operations.

Perfect! The great thing about it is the clear polymer construction. Light will pass right through it so there is no reason to worry about light reflection. Perfect for night or day operations.

The latest kit for Produce Paratroopers!

Thank heavens it's not a Tanto...

I can see it now. Saturday morning, 7:00 am.

Father to son: Get your lazy butt out of bed right now! Go clean up the mess you made in my workshop. BTW, your grounded. Those bananas were for my breakfast cereal.

OK I will tell you why I won't buy another tanto blade. The top of the blade is longer than the bottom of the blade so it can be difficult in some situations to judge where that point is, and the cutting surface is flat so a tanto blade is like cutting with a razor blade.

The top of the blade is longer than the bottom of the blade? Isn't that basically true for every knife?

In this case, PM stands for Produce Master. :D

Does anybody think that we have picked on the OP enough yet?

I hope he understands that it is not him we are attacking but, the situation and the silliness of it. Most of it was just in fun (mine was, anyway). Maybe he will stay around long enough to see this sort of fun happen to someone else.

At some point, we all do something stupid with a knife. Heck, I remember trying to cut an oatmeal cookie in two with a Buck 112 Ranger and loosing part of my finger.

Nope, op was right...tantos suck...this drop point design should work much better for him...see how the bottom is longer than the top? :D
