John does an awesome tanto! So much so that this one kicks my other E01 Hunter out of my pocket most days just because of a tantos utility for everyday tasks.

I’m kind of drawn to the top one, room for fingers, enough blade length do what it needs to easy to sharpen. I guess if you can do one like that I’d be game.Very cool!
Unsolicited observation, the thumb ramp on your top one might be a bit far forward.
Well if John has or will have both patterns, I believe I know what I going to order next.Regarding thumb ramp placement, the filipino grip requires extending the thumb further than a sabre grip.
I try to incorporate various grip styles & hand sizes into the design profile.
I will send both blade patterns to John.
Observations are appreciated, thanks.
So what happened with this blade? I like it as it is maybe add a cord wrap to the handle.
John, you had me at hello Will be looking for a tango like the top pictured one next month then.It will be in the January sale
That’s not what will be for sale, I don’t even have that pattern yet.John, you had me at hello Will be looking for a tango like the top pictured one next month then.
Bummer, so your going to have the bottom one on sale in January? That’s not what will be for sale, I don’t even have that pattern yet.
Did you put a handle on it? If so what type?It will be in the January sale
I’ve got some black micarta. I’m thinking if I make another one later on, I might go with larger holes and no handles.Did you put a handle on it? If so what type?
If you get busy and don't have time to put a handle on it I'll be watching the Jan saleI’ve got some black micarta. I’m thinking if I make another one later on, I might go with larger holes and no handles.
I remember thatJohn, a few years ago you made me a really cool Americanized Tanto--based off the Benchmade Stryker 910 model. Thank-you for your work. I am really enjoying that knife.
