The Basic 5" Field Knife - Thoughts and Impressions

I may be mistaken, but if I recall that was the last material from a large plank I brought home from Hawaii myself. I got it in a suitcase somehow (it was a massive plank). My wife thought I was nuts. That was the only souvenir I was interested in and I would have tossed some clothes and such out to make sure it came home.

It’s kinda funny because I’m almost the exact opposite of your scenario (minus being sick, get well!). Today was my last day off and my FK3 WAS scheduled to be delivered today. Well you know the Post Office….. It didn’t deliver today, and I go back to work tomorrow 😞. Most likely it will arrive at the PO while I’m at work and won’t get to really fondle it for a few days, since the 2-3 day priority arrives after 4 or 5 days, more than I’d like.

Happened to me yesterday: USPS said it would be delivered by 9pm on the 11th, but tracking showed it was in Memphis. I do not live within 500 miles of Memphis. Could be worse.

Since when did CPK switch to using the USPS instead of UPS?

Last time that switch happened (Sure Post Fiasco UPS/Handoff to USPS FUBAR) was Dec 2023 and Jo fixed the problem immediately.

Now, Jo & Nathan are out of town this week (and very much deserved too).

The Shipping Gremlins maybe at work while the Boss is away?

So it sounds like to me that these scales are a piece of valued history. Sweet. Value increased. So if anyone is interested let the big offers start. 😂. Just kidding they are mine. All mine. On a serious note TRfromMT TRfromMT your work is beautiful. If you come out of retirement I have a couple blades I need scales for.

If you'd like to cover my expenses... Which in this case will be rotator cuff surgery, then maybe we can strike a deal.
