Fantastic. Man, I LOVE these Micarta Scales. Shirogorov absolutely killed it.
Lol, yall will have to overlook me. I've had some nice blades but, nothing like these Shirogorov's!

I've been reading this thread a while, and Ive been drooling over Shiros but have never had the chance to hold one.
Ive see many beautiful knives they make online, and theyre either out of stock or I cant convince myself to spend a mortgage payment on one

Got the new F95NL Gen 5 in today. I like it a bit better than the Hati. More weight is good. Action is very nice and the copper really “pops” to the eye. However, I wasn’t able to catch the effect in crappy iPhone photos.












I don’t mind the “orbital sander” polish on the flats. Think it’s going to wear really well in the pocket.

Went for a massage at lunchtime, and then went to pick up my packages today. Used my aquatic to open up the lil’ native, then use that to open up the Shiro.

I thought of all the knives I bought, and they add up way past the $720 that it cost me for my F3. & if your a member of Blade Forums then I imagine you've bought your fair share too. Alls I can say, is I wish I had bought a Shirogorov a long time ago. Would've saved a lot of trouble lol.....I'm serious - I can't imagine replacing these Shiros. Now, just wanting to buy more knives, sure. But, if your lookin for 1 or 2 , these are so well worth the price of admission- imo.

I didn’t realize that my new F95 had micro-milling on the carbon fiber inlays, and I really like it. My other CF Shiros are smooth.

What other models have the textured/micro-milling on the CF? The F3NS and 111 are the only ones I am aware of in the production line.

I was just coming here to post a couple pics of the new F95NL and mention the micro milling on the inlays lol, I like it on these. I have two older gen Hati’s that have the milling running through the front CF scales, they made lots of them in all sorts of colors. I’m sure there’s more! (I think an older gen F3 had it as well?)


I wasn’t too enthused about this knife when I first opened it for some reason but I’m definitely liking it the more I look at it. The blade is great, I’m loving the thinner with swedge style and the jimping with milled cutout looks nice. The tapering of the inlays like they did with the recent RJM collab knives is a nice touch too, they add thickness to the frame but it’s done in a sleek way. My only gripe I think is that I was hoping the copper would be more apparent than it is which I can definitely live with because there’s a lot I like about the Gen 5 update.

That “chaotic satin” finish…hmmmm I’m not so sure yet. My pictures don’t really show off the scratchiness of them because they aren’t as scratched as the Hati lock scale I have, this F95 is much more a blend of light stonewash/chaotic satin.
