THE BUSSE CHAT THREAD!

Alright. Who’s in on the TGS19?
I'm in. If only for the extra 3 inches over the F16. I think it is going to be sweet with the thickness offered. It WOULD perhaps been better if it had been a convex grind. But I can let that slide, for sure.

Like with the 42" wheel convex grind on TGLB's? Agreed.

I'm still on the fence, myself. Too many Busse swords, not enough reasons for use. 🤔

Aw, c’mon Jaxx. I fixed for ya… because I think you probably fill in that little blank in for yourself half the time & still buy (at least) one.😎

Ya gotta admit… once I retyped the quote… it doesn’t really quite sound right. You feeling ok today?

I've been collecting Busse for almost 20yrs.
Just a thought that's getting louder with me, which is that I have no family to leave the collection to. It's been a blast, & surely I'm not completely done, but it's time to consider letting some of my passel head to new homes more than another sword I'll never use. I'm sure that I have the trade fodder in hand to land one if I regret not changing my mind before they're pulled...lol 😉🤙

I thought the 42” wheel was to make a very slight hollow grind on the TGLB?

A Busse Steel Heart E with canvas micarta handles was blown up in a closet with stored explosives in an episode of CSI. The knife was actually in the explosion, not just faked on screen.

In the CSI episode, they morned that the knife was lost as evidence due to being destroyed in the explosion, but in reality, the knife survived pretty well, including the micarta handles. It was purchased by a Busse hog and I have seen pictures of it on Bladeforums. The micarta looks to be in pretty good shape.

Anyone have pics of this knife?

Pic gone from original post, but it gives the season & episode.

Cant help but say what a nice edge the Scrapivore in AEB-L takes & furthermore, it's a great gift option as well. I've been super impressed with it. And, the people that received one has absolutely loved them!

Over on AZCK they just listed and sold 10+ Busse "German 6" blades. They were all identical. Old school res-c with black coated 6" blades and a clip point.

Anyone have a back story on these?

European market got different variants of knives sold here. Some were very cool.. the ones just listed are definitely cool.

Care taker’s, outlaws, ergos and euro basics in different sizes etc. basic 6 euro was different than basic 6 le etc.

* I’m also NOT an expert by any means.

I think they were Modified INFI, made in 2001/2002 (ref)
A tan handled / desert camo / bigger basic handle was offered at Blade '05. (pic)
The Euro blade is 0.26", 12.5 oz and about 1/4" longer than the regular B6. (ref)
AZCK just listed some more and jacked the price up $100.

Thats wild - they've listed 16 of these this week so far. The euro market shenanigans makes the Busse hunt even more complicated. Haha

Edit - So these are technically considered "Euro Basic 6"
