The Cowbell Build Thread

I was going to sit out on the Deluxe to let others have a go, but you're making it really hard John. That's gorgeous! Going to have to keep an eye out for the next newsletter :)

I am going to join Mike in the cheering section on the sidelines for the Deluxe lottery. I am blessed to have two great Pocket Blades, so I am going to stay out of the way of others seeking this beauty. Seductive knives like the Annual Deluxe make it difficult to stay true to my stacked leather focus.

Deluxe is ready and the other three are almost done. I'll be getting some pics of the Deluxe and post a thread along with a Newsletter hopefully tomorrow. I'll also have some Dibs for more Cowbells coming and maybe we'll do a coffee cup giveaway here in the forum once I figure out the safest way to ship them. Scott Hanson Scott Hanson and Pàdruig Pàdruig I have yours earmarked:thumbsup:

Finishing up the tooled pocket clip sheath for the Deluxe as well as the others.

I'll be offering the Deluxe soon. We'll do another "Buyers Draw" where if you're interested in buying it you can throw your name in the hat.

For those of you that have a Dibs being finished right after the Deluxe. If you want to put in for the Deluxe draw to purchase that instead, you can pass on your Dibs knife if you happen to win the Deluxe draw. Hope that made sense, If you want both, that's fine as well.

The 2021 Deluxe will come with a Tooled belt sheath, a tooled pocket clip sheath, and a mini cowbell made out of the mesquite burl handle material. I only do one Deluxe a year and it's etched 2021 on the underside of the handle. If anyone has any questions let me know.

I'll put out more pictures when the Clio sheath us finished, for now here's the Belt sheath. This is the first tooking out of the Redmeadow shop.

I'm sorry but that is one gorgeous piece. Whoever gets that one is one lucky dude.

another nice trio of cowbells by John
sheaths look great, are you stitching by hand still or using the machine
sorry if I missed in another post, I've been busy this 2nd half of the year and I'm finally getting back to normal

Thanks Frank, 15 more in the process. 3 of those Dibs that will take priority and a dozen more rolling.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Chritmas Holiday!!
2022 is starting out strong. I realized today that my handle color choice is the name of the brand - so meta!

Man I need to update this thread!

I have the three Dibs handsanded and will be etching Cowbells and attaching handles this week.

7 others heat treated and ready to handsand.

14 more thermal cycled and ready to grind. Will do a mix of all four blade styles with the majority being drop points.

Won't be taking Dibs for a while as I'll most likely be out of the shop most of March and part of April.

Part of April? It's going to be way too hot in MT to work in the shop then. 🥵😁

Right? April in Montana can be anywhere from Zero to 65. That's way out of my comfort range on the top end!
