The Pathfinder Club - Members Only!

Guards and Pommels. Interesting how their shapes and lengths changed over the years. More evidence of early handwork. I pulled these photos from the internet for comparison and discussion.

A noticeable difference in these two inverted stamp models...
Two different pre-date code knives...
Hey TAH if you look through this thread you will find this picture.

Those are my 105's but I did modify the top one, rather drastically I might add.

My one and only Buck Pathfinder, Heritage Series, in D2. Please, my friends, allow me the honor of joining this wonderful 105 club.
Welcome MarcelodiMarco! You're our first new member since May 10th! Glad to see your Pathfinder has reported for kitchen duty. Food always tastes better using a 105. 👍

Well I’m in, if you’ll have me…
I bought this one to stick in my tackle box but upon having it in hand, I love this knife. I’ve just done a few things - whittling and cutting stuff - but boy I like the way it does that and I’m eager to use it more in the woods. I think the 110LT will stay in the tackle box for the foreseeable future!

Thanks

Well, it's about time, Greasepiggy. We've been waiting over three years for you to join. 🥱 But now that you're here, welcome! :) You picked a great knife for general use. Don't be surprised if it becomes your "go to" knife for a long, long time. It's been mine since 1975. 👍

I've been reading this thread for awhile now, and the temptation has been mounting. Today a package arrived with my new 105 Pathfinder Pro!

I don't have very good photography skills, but I put a little note there to let you know it's really mine! :D

Please consider this my official application for membership. I've read the by-laws and agree to all the terms and conditions.

It's a real beauty! The only slight quibble one might could have is that the BUCK stamp on the tang isn't full and even, but since I plan on using this one and taking it camping and into the woods, I don't see why that should matter too much. If I had a display case picked out for it, I might be a little disappointed. But then again, I don't own any display cases for knives...

Welcome rje58! Thank you for reading and agreeing to the by-laws. Without the by-laws, all hell would break loose around here. 😁 Great choice on your Pathfinder. The Pro offers beauty and toughness in one package. As for the stamp, it appears your knife was so eager to hit the trail, it slightly moved when the blade was being stamped. :)
