There is video of Knife Maker Tim Hancock, Hosted by Travis Wuertz hammer in showing how he uses the disc in the plunge.


Video quality is crap, hand-held shaky camera, audio is hard to hear and half the people there feel they have to talk over the presenter,

but the info is gold.

I'd love to see Tim Hancock in person.

I had inquired about creating a flat bottom hole for a socket head screw and was going to get and end mill to do this. I was going to plunge cut the taper out of a counterbore that I was going to drill with another appropriate sized drill. I do not have a mill and was going to use the drill press. I would ONLY be plunge cutting since we all know that most drill presses cannot take lateral loads well. I haven't tried this yet but it makes sense for anyone who uses a lot of corby bolts, chain ring bolts etc but doesn't have stepped drills or a mill.

As far as I can see, that most recent video it just a slide show of photos = advertising.

I thought this sticky was for informational videos ?
