Maybe have a look at the FK2 ? Kind of a hybrid between DEK1 and BFK.

Finally made it! Got a few of my other EDCs in photos here for comparison, but the DEK 2 is my overall favorite.

Question for the sage wisdom on this forum: I see some AMAZING leather work on the forum, but am curious if anyone has a recommendation for IWB carry and this particular model? As I said, they’re all truly incredible, but retention is key and was wondering if some are more or less designed for that specifically.

Future mod objectives: I hope to add some AECM, the ‘most-likely-it-is-Westinghouse’ dark and streaky stuff, along with a taco style kydex sheath as my next steps. I’m also thinking I now simply must have a swedged DEK 2 as well (naturally, right! I’ve got a fever and the only cure is more… DEK 2s?) I’ll be posting on the WTB forum for those, of course (provided the wife approves… haha) Any other recommendations I should think about?

Amazing blade and so grateful to the CPK crew for their functional art! (Also, now that I own one, do I get to make DEK jokes?! )

I’m so glad you are enjoying the DEK2. It’s missed ! But I was able to fund some custom folders .. win win

Excellent photos of a beautiful family set of DEK's. I share your thought process about not having enough 1's & 2's. I am up to five DEK's myself with two 1's, one 2, and two 3's. My lonely 2 "needs" a swedged brother. DEK's are certainly very addictive...

I downsized myself as I had 3 DEK 1’s a while back

Sold 2 of my DEK 1’s (one of which was my 1st CPK) (one to help someone out with their first CPK in D3V) and another sold openly in AEBL. I regret selling both now, such as life lol.

I do need to pick up another DEK 1 at some point. I’m probably good with just 1 DEK 2. Would be cool to have a DEK 2 with a swedge or a super nice HG satin one, but is lower on my list of CPK wants Currently.

Exactly what I did. The 3rd one (picture with puppy) is standard, the first two „Reverse“, which I prefer now.

Ahhh....so it's over the edge, or in line with the spine..... I see.

I generally like tacos, but I carry edge forward, so I might need "reverse" too.

Probably better to buy Both as well, and so I can get an understanding of what Others want, too.

Like a dingus, somehow I overlooked my MC DEK 1 in my pics above haha, guess I’m a grower, not a shower after all . I guess losing track of CPK’s after you get into the double digits is a good problem to have haha. Looks like I’m right on par with Comprehensivist now (2-1-2). Still gotta get me 1 more D3V DEK 1 for a beater though.

I really want to try CPK's AEB-L. I love how easy it is to sharpen on my kitchen knives.

Nathan’s AEB-L rocks. Came in 3 knives, Kephart, DEK1, and UF1. I know you like to use your knives in the kitchen, might want to try the Kephart ? If you find a UF1, please let me buy it !

Uf1 is all yours. I think an aeb-l DEK1 would be sweet though!

I don't actually use any of my CPKs in the kitchen. I've got some kitchen knives made by Stuart Davenport Knives that are absolutely outstanding. I've sworn of using anything else, but I'd make an exception for the CPK potato knife.

My CPKs are strictly for utility during home projects, camping, hunting, fishing, and self defense.
