I certainly haven't noticed a gap on mine, and a gap of more than 1/8 inch seems like it would be noticeable even to me!it.
Question:
Are your backsprings and liners tight on the non-pivot end?
Mine has a 0.15 inch (0.38mm) gap the mark side, according to my feeler guage.(the pivot end is tight.
)
It does not affect functionality, and isn't really noticable/felt in use, so it is a "cosmetic defect".
My matching Marbles Ram Horn canoe is gap free.
Does your rotatation schedule ever pair your Ram Horn Barlow and Canoe?
Your Burl wood looks a lot better/nicer than mine.
Thanks.Your Burl wood looks a lot better/nicer than mine.
This is a great Barlow. I believe mine is my most carried Barlow that is equipped with stain less blades.
