Like your saying. To envy is a ”deadly sin”. Is it sinful to engender envy in another? If so there’s a lot of sinners on this forum
Gotta love that no-nonsense shield.Ha! Right at midnight for thrifty Thursday
$10.43 with tax and shipping. Something about it just said it needed to be here. It had a heavy surface coat that was a mixture of rust and gummy funk. A little work this evening and a good sharpening and this is good to go for another 3000 miles.

It is about 3 1/8". Super thin. The covers are jigged celluloid of some type (maybe paper). Very flammable. Don't ask me how I found that out. They are pinned to the steel liners and it has Integral steel bolsters. There is a hole for a bail, but it is long gone. Very snappy. Minimal blade play (just a slight wiggle side to side)

The only marking is a proud USA stamp. I have no idea who made it.
Could it be a "Rams Foot"?Not sure what kind of blade this third knife has; I'd probably call it a giant coping blade
I suppose that's possible, although I thought "Ram Foot" was a name GEC recently invented for one of their sheepsfoot blades (pattern 933119).Could it be a "Rams Foot"?
I think that is what the THEM of old called a straight edged blade that tapered wider from the tang to the point.
I remember reading here the small locking Sodbuster Jr. style/type RR made had an issue with the pivot, while the full size version lacked that problem. I don't know if they fixed the problem on the Jr. size.Alan
I'm a RR fan/user, but be careful. - I've had two of the newer RR liner locks fail completely. I just used my Dremel cutting wheel to remove the brass and filed it smooth. Make good slip joints.
I dunno ... got a coin we could flip?I suppose that's possible, although I thought "Ram Foot" was a name GEC recently invented for one of their sheepsfoot blades (pattern 933119).
Would the bottom two Cannon knives in my recent photo (with the hedgehog statue) be Rams Foot examples?

I just ripped the liner lock out of a rough Ryder redbone sodbuster. Better off without. Nice knife but a bit big for just tossing in a pocket. The liner lock didn't really lock and without it the knife functions perfectly.Alan

This is the one I should have grabbed. Very nice! That carbon steel they use is awesome. When I decided to get their versoin of the Sodbuster, I went with the full size Carbon Classic
I don't have the anchor ones, but your posts reminded me that this canon brand knife was buried upstairs. I'm sure it was an inexpensive eBay/Amazon purchase and it's been here for probably 6 or 7 years. It's nice enough I just never really used it all that much. I like yours much more!Cannon anchor knife,
